Several years before COVID of 2020, my brother in-law Buck and his wife Lisa asked if we would like to travel to Costa Rica with them. So Cindy and I said sure, let us think about it and do some investigation into what it takes and where to go etc…. Well fast forward to February 2022 we finally decided to make the trip, COVID or no COVID. What an adventure it turned out to be. We decided that we would stay about two weeks. During our research and watching dozens of dozens of YouTube Videos we quickly learned there was a lot to see and an unlimited number experiences we wanted to try while in Costa Rica.
In the end we decided on staying the first week (5 days) up North of San Jose the capital near a popular town called La Fortuna. We also decided to spend part of the second week down south along the Pacific side of the country in a town called Uvita. From each respective location we would then explore the volcanos, waterfalls, and wildlife. Our third and last stop was three days in San Jose so we could experience the culture of one of the largest cities in Costa Rica, while being very close to the airport so we could return home without a 6 hour drive. Each location proved to be an adventure along with learning new customs, what little Spanish we could pick up and the local Cuisine in different regions of the country. All of us did get a bit tired of the traditional rice and beans which seemed to be served with almost every dish.
